Travis Pastrana, the 34-year old competitor and stunt performer just completed three of Evel Knievels stunts!

I had a chance to meet Travis last year at the Bancroft Tall Pines Rally. Yes, he was competing in that event too. He was with the Subaru USA rally team. Tall Pines is s tough course and the weather in November is always interesting in Bancroft. You never know what you’ll get- snow, ice, mud. He wanted to learn more about writing pace notes. Such a cool guy. Really humble and down to earth. I’m so happy for his success.

They had the show on the History channel last night. The first jump was 50 cars in a row. Evel landed this on in LA in 1973. Travis is a go big or go home kind of guy…he did 52.

His second jump was recreating Evel’s ATTEMPT to jump 13 buses at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1975.  Evel couldn’t land that one . . . but Travis did it and in true Travis style… he cleared 16!

Finally, it was time for  Evel’s most famous stunt that he attempted in 1967 on New Years Eve. It did’t go well for Evel who ended up crashing and suffering several serious injuries.

But Travis was in for the challenge… jumping the fountains at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas!  Did he make it? See for yourself!

Evel was unconscious for 29 days after his jump. Here’s the footage-the fall is around 1:40.
