On the Road with Rubino – Hello, August!
I’ve finally recovered from a crazy July. Luckily the torrential down pour at Home County Music & Art Festival washed off that lingering grease smell from a weekend at Lucan Bacon Fest! I’m ready to go for one last month of summer fun!
If you’ve ever wanted to smell like bacon for an entire week – and who doesn’t – you have to visit Lucan Bacon Fest next year. The entire town of Lucan smelled like pork as early as 8am and it was a beautiful thing. I treated myself (and punished my arteries) with a Double Hog burger. A pork burger topped with bacon. Nom. We also got to catch live bands all day, see some sweet bikes and even watch an insane performance in the Globe of Death! Catch up with everything you missed on our Twitter and Instagram!
One of our favourite music events celebrated its 45th anniversary this summer – Home County Music & Arts Festival! This weekend long event in Victoria Park features music on various stages throughout the park and is completely free! Any donations collected go towards music programs in the city. Despite the rainy weather the crowds loved the shows and packed the park everyday!
We sent the month of July off with a real party – the London Pride Parade! As Mother Nature often does, she tried to rain on our parade but we marched on anyways! It was a bright, amazing day!
