London, ON, November 3, 2016The Grand Theatre presents Jeans ‘n Classics in an all-new show, Heartland: Current and Classic Country, on November 11 at 8 pm. VersaBank is the presenting sponsor for the Jeans ‘n Classics 5-concert series at The Grand Theatre this season.

Jeans ‘n Classics opened its season at The Grand Theatre this past August with The Best of the Music of the Eagles. Heartland: Current and Classic Country is a new show that explores some of the very best new acts along with a few classic country artists. The concert will include the music of Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown, Alison Krauss, Johnny Cash, and many more.

Three lead vocalists will front the performance: Neil Donell, Kathryn Rose, and Rique Franks. Neil Donell, known as “the man of a thousand voices” with a four-octave vocal range, most recently fronted the Chicago tribute concert on its London tour stop at the Budweiser Gardens. Singer songwriter Kathryn Rose, has worked with musical icons including The Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan. She has also received a nomination for Pop Album of the Year at the Canadian Indie Awards for one of her five solo albums. Rique Franks is best known for her four duets with Dan Hill and has toured and recorded with many Canadian and internationally-acclaimed artists.

The members of the renowned Jeans ‘n Classics Band perform favourites such as Jolene by Dolly Parton, Liza Jane by Vince Gill and Whiskey Lullabye by Alison Krauss / Brad Paisley. The performance will be led by the Jeans ‘n Classics band members on the guitar, electric bass, keyboard, and drums and will also be accompanied by the 30-piece Jeans ‘n Classics Rock Symphony.

Jeans ‘n Classics was founded in London, Ontario by accomplished musician Peter Brennan, who has for 20 years been combining rock bands with orchestras and has performed to sold-out audiences throughout North America.

The 2016/17 season includes five concerts performed on The Grand MainStage, each exploring the music of a particular artist, genre, or era. Upcoming Jeans ‘n Classics concerts include:

The Apollo Hall of Fame, February 12, 2017

For 40 years the Apollo Theater showcased some of the finest black artists (and a few notable white acts) in American swing, jazz, R&B, and pop. Borrowing from their own list of stars, this show will present the sounds of The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Hall & Oates, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown, among others.

Canada Rocks: The Best of Our Homegrown Rock & Pop, May 26, 2017
In honour of the incredible worldwide impact Canadian songwriters, vocalists, and bands have had on pop/rock music internationally over the past 50+ years, this concert spans decades of Canadian greatness. The rock symphony will perform These Eyes by The Guess Who, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, After the Gold Rush by Neil Young, and many more.

Tickets are $82.50 and $65 (includes HST and CIF – prices subject to change) and are available at, by phone at 519-672-8800, or at the Box Office, 471 Richmond Street.
