Concert Review #5: Loverboy & Sammy Hagar
Hey, folks it’s Steve, the Classic Rock 98.1 Intern! The 5th show and half way point of my internship was a stellar double header, at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage with Loverboy and Sammy Hagar.
It was a sweltering night in Toronto and Loverboy kicked off the show and turned up the heat. Delivering their iconic energy, the crowd went wild for hits like “Turn Me Loose,” “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” and the show-stopping “Working for the Weekend,”
Up next, the Red Rocker Sammy Hagar hit the stage, joined by guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, bass legend and Van Halen alum Michael Anthony, and the powerhouse drummer Jason Bonham. The chemistry between these rock legends was off the charts, leaving fans buzzing with excitement
Sammy’s set was a high-octane mix of solo hits, Van Halen classics, and incredible covers. The audience rocked out to “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Poundcake,” and a mind-blowing “Satch Boogie.”
Thanks again 98.1 for another rockin’ good time.
